Epidemiology - Overview
![]()
The Epidemiology module follows the status of all diseases globally, as well as in each individual country. There are 2 sub-modules: Diseases and Graphs.
includes the left section to select diseases and the right section to find out
more about the diseases (see image below).
Information includes Local vectors, vehicles, and socioeconomic determinants for disease occurrence, individual notes describing: the historical background of each disease, its distribution by continent, region, country or even district; Countries that are endemic or potentially endemic for any given disease; Number of cases reported.
The Epidemiology module also explores the interaction of pathogen, vector, reservoir, and vehicle. With it, you can review disease groups which fit selected epidemiological patterns within any given country.
The user may generate a list of diseases which are compatible with user-defined parameters within a given country; or fit a given "fingerprint" consisting of two or more specified epidemiological determinants (e.g., bacteria transmitted by flies; or parasites of cattle acquired from food).
Images and a Clinical background of the diseases are provided as well.
This section is described in detail in Epidemiology Diseases.
sub-module is used for comparing graphs of disease by country. This section is
described in Epidemiology Graphs.
